Instructions in Rhyme

They’re naughty or nice, and two shades in between; St. Nick has to judge all these children unseen

With mom in her kerchief and pop ‘bout to nap; Ol’ Santa needs you to place kids on this map

At each intersection four houses surround; Each house has one child; with four kinds to be found

Now ten kids are naughty and fourteen are nice; With twelve not-so-naughty, thirteen not-so-nice

And every nice child has a neighbor for play; The nice kids all link to each other this way

The puzzle instructions this year are in rhyme; I wonder if that’s going to save you much time

With logic and cunning each child can be placed; And then you can rest from this problem you’ve faced
